We are an alternative drag event established in 2021 dedicated to celebrating the monstrous, the mysterious, and the magical. From gothic glamour to full-on creature feature chaos, we champion artists who blur the lines between beauty and horror.
At the heart of it all is our main event, Cryptid Queers, a jaw-dropping drag showcase where the strange and spectacular take center stage.
Our lineup features otherworldly performers bringing you eerie, ethereal, and electrifying acts that push the boundaries of drag and performance art alongside legendary DJs of the goth scene bringing you two rooms of alt music, and our new alternative market held at the stunning FORGE Warehouse in Sheffield.
But the Cryptid Queers experience doesn’t stop at the stage. We also offer workshops for new performers looking to sharpen their skills, experiment with new ideas, and connect with a like-minded community of creatures.
Whether you want to perfect your lip sync, master special effects makeup, or refine your stage presence, we’ve got a space for you to learn and grow.
And for the fresh blood ready to make their mark, we introduced Camp Cryptid in 2024 - a brand-new show designed for up-and-coming monsters. This is a proving ground for emerging talent to develop their artistry, gain experience, and let their freak flags fly in a supportive and thrilling environment.
